Our permanent supervising staff normally work up to six days a week, starting from 06:00am and going through until about 17:00pm and if work is available it will be offered at those times. In very hot weather, after discussion, these hours are sometimes changed.
Generally 8 hours per day, 5/6 days per week, Sundays off.
There is extra work available at the times. Speak to your Field Assistant.
Take plenty of sandwiches and at least 1 ltr of drink to last the whole day. Water is usually avaiable on the picking fields.
We would prefer you not to. You should give the HR team at least 1 weeks notice if you want to leave early.
If you are a SAWS student, legally you can only work with Haygrove Fruit.
We sometimes ask the best students to come again. Speak to Evelina.
Speak to the Camp Warden first, secondly to the Welfare Officer. If very important, you may always see Marilyn or ask to see Angus. All complaints are recorded in the complaints procedure book which is kept in the Camp Warden's caravan. Your complaints will be treated seriously and will be dealt with as soon as possible. If you have an emergency at night, go immediately to your Camp Warden.
Tell your manager, or ask a friend to pass on a message so they know where you are. If you need to see a doctor tell the Welfare Officer or the office.
