As for any organisation, our people define us. However horticulture is one of the most people intensive industries: wages are 50% of our sales. Being a seasonal business adds a further dimension of constant training, and of the work suiting students. We employ over 1000 annually. The best are given the opportunity to rise fast. Consequently, within the different management levels of the business, to junior to senior to partners, are people who started as pickers. Enabling passionate, able people to start from the bottom and excel is the most remunerative crop of all.

Almost all fruit is marketed via the co-operative Berry Gardens Ltd, who supply ~40% of the UK's soft fruit to supermarkets.

Our oriental lilies are marketed via Colors Flowers to Marks & Spencer.
