Polytunnels for the Home Garden by Haygrove
The growing systems business manufactures and sells step changes in technical innovation in our sector. These are for the most part developed on our farm in response to need.
They currently include polytunnels of various designs to protect high value crops from increasingly unreliable weather and to collect rainwater; systems for growing crops out of the soil; harvesting machinery; and large but mobile free range poultry houses.
We sell in over 30 countries.
The skills transfer part of our business Haygrove Development is not for profit and currently centred upon Gambia. We established a produce marketing business in 2002 in partnership with an NGO Concern Universal, to assist local food producers to replace imports and by doing so lift their families out of poverty.
Gambia is Good now markets food from over 500 farmers to over 60 Gambian businesses, mainly tourist hotels.
